PPhA Lucena City-Quezon Chapter held a successful CPD Seminar

On October 5, 2024, the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA) Lucena City - Quezon Chapter held a successful Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar at the Queen Margarette Hotel in Lucena City. The event attracted over 120 pharmacists from across Quezon Province, including participants from its island municipalities, highlighting the strong engagement of the local pharmacy community.
The seminar featured a significant chapter membership oath-taking ceremony, where 36 new members were formally inducted. This occasion included a special white coat and pinning ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to the profession.
Chapter President Ms. Diza Alcala led the event, reporting on the achievements of the chapter over the past year. She emphasized the chapter's growth and initiatives, setting a positive tone for the future as they prepare to celebrate the chapter's 45th anniversary in August 2025.
The educational component of the seminar was enriched by lectures from Mr. Mark Ryan Langit, the PPhA Section Representative of Pharmacy Education, and Ms. Milette Teodosio-Luna. They presented valuable insights on dispensing guidelines and the role of pharmacists in Universal Health Care, particularly focusing on self-care.
Fun activities like raffle prizes were given to lucky attendees. Several awards of appreciation were also awarded to different areas and members for their contributions to the success of the events of the chapter.
Overall, the CPD seminar not only fostered professional development but also strengthened the bonds among pharmacists in Quezon Province, paving the way for future collaborations and advancements in the field.
